Nissan Z Wins 2023 SEMA Sport Compact of the Year
The 2024 Nissan Z was named the SEMA Sport Compact of the Year as part of the annual SEMA New Vehicle Awards. The awards were held at the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, which showcases the models best suited for customization and accessorizing.
SEMA polls exhibitors to recognize the models that best showcase the ability to customize with aftermarket parts. Various generations of the Nissan Z have utilized numerous aftermarket parts over the years. Several modified Z models were on display for this year’s show, including the seventh-generation vehicles.
One of the highlights of the show was with the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall both #52141 with the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO. This Z concept vehicle is a replica of the Datsun 240Z rally car back in 1971. That model was the victor in the East African Safari Rally that year. The 2024 model Z features the return of the Z NISMO.

Even before any customization takes place, the Nissan Z offers quite a thrill in both appearance and performance. Powered by a twin-turbo V6 with a manual transmission, this rear-wheel drive model creates a memorable driving experience. The 3.0L twin turbo engine cranks out up to 400 horsepower. Even the cockpit is focused on the drier with an instrument panel that wraps around for easy access with a nine-inch touchscreen. Padded knee bolsters and a lower seat cushion enhance stability for the driver when cornering as you grip the steering wheel inspired by the GT-R.
