Nissan reveals its next big contribution to the SUV segment with the unveiling of the completely redesigned 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. The Pathfinder has been a household favorite for decades, and since its original release in 1986 has been a staple for many. Today Nissan harnesses the most modern technologies to bring you improvements on performance, connectivity, along with a new and bold look. This Pathfinder will be hitting Premier Nissan of San Jose later this summer, providing residents of Newark, Mountain View, Milpitas, and surrounding cities easy access to this new and exciting vehicle.
Nissan rebuilds the body of the Pathfinder to incorporate subtle features from past models, but with a modern twist. The front grille has been massively expanded from last yearās, giving the vehicle a more aggressive profile. This year's model is taller, wider, and longer than previous models although it is featured on the same wheelbase as its predecessors.

The Pathfinder sees an upgrade in its interior features as well. Comfortable seating with premium upholstery now has room for seven passengers with the addition of a full middle seat in the third row Perry the Pathfinder comes available with a second-row bench or captainās chairs for ease of access. The second row also gets a center console which features 2 USB ports and an available 120 Volt power outlet.
Nissan takes a fresh new approach to the Pathfinder by designing around the technology available. An all-digital driver mid screen features a new heads up display that puts your speed, turn by turn navigation, and more at eye level for the driver. The 9-inch center touchscreen is positioned higher to minimize distracted driving. The touchscreen also features full integration with compatible smartphones using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to access the best elements of your phone including apps, music, messages, navigation, and more.
Nissan also loads the Pathfinder up with the latest available safety technology found in Nissan's own pro pilot assist system. These offer a range of assistive features as well as a rear camera and a 360-degree birdās eye view camera. Take advantage of such features as adaptive cruise control, Lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alerts, and forward obstruction alerts.
The 2022 Pathfinder sees a departure of its preceding CVT transmission in favor of a 9-speed transmission that is taking hold of many modern vehicles. This new, 9-speed transmission offers an increased amount of control while enhancing your vehicle's performance and efficiency. The Pathfinder is equipped with a 284 horsepower V6 engine, which provides a best in class towing capacity of 6,000 pounds. With the Pathfinder, the trailer sway control feature comes standard for peace of mind while towing.
Newly available with the Pathfinder is the option to select multiple driving modes. The driving mode option allows you to select modes based off of current terrain which includes sand, snow, mud, and more. There are also driving modes available based on driving preference including sport and eco mode.
